Great 2018 Vintage

We have already imported 2018 Bordeaux, Burgundy and Rhône wines. The Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé 2018 have been in stock for some time.  I can recommend the Châteaux Landat and Lamothe-Cissac, the  Saint Aubin 1er Cru Sentier du Clou, Chablis of Raoul Gautherin and the Saint Romain of Coste-Caumartin. The red Burgundy to keep in your cellars include Maranges 1er Cru la Fuissière and Gevrey-Chambertin from Vincent Bachelet, the Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Boucherottes of Coste-Caumartin  and the Vosne-Romanée of Domaine JM Brun.

More 2018s will be arriving and the 2017s are showing well too, good for keeping also. The Crus Beaujolais 2017 that are exceptional are the Fleurie Le Vivier and the Morgon Côte de Py.

Strongly recommended for quality and price are Domaine la Boulandière Chardonnay 2018 and the Vigné Lourac Sauvignon and Colombard-Sauvignon 2018, all at very good prices, click to the Agency Special Offers tab.

Post Brexit and Lockdown

As result of leaving the single market we are inflicted with quite a lot of bureaucracy and agents fees for documentation. This will in turn lead to some increases in costs of the wine. We are holding prices during the current lockdown as we imported large stocks before 1st January.

We are continuing to supply wines and Armagnac directly to customers from the bonded warehouse, duty paid delivered to homes throughout the UK.

Burgundy arrivals this month have included the Vosne-Romanée from Domaine Jean-Marc Lebrun and Jean-Philippe Marchand with a nicely priced Fixin, next door neighbour of Gevrey-Chambertin. The 2018 vintage Burgundy also includes the Saint Romain Clos du Château, a monopole of Domaine Coste-Caumartin along with the Domaine’s Pommards. See my Burgundy Page.
